Complexity: Unlike typical ray matrix based calculations, CyberRay can model complicated 3D systems where multiple beams interact in a non-sequential way with a variety of optics. In this simulation, a beam interacts first with a transmissive grating. The zero order is upcollimated by a telescope, reflected off a spherical mirror, reflected off a flat mirror, and refracted through a dielectric paraboloid. Notice how one of the first order beams is clipped by the paraboloid and therefore splits into two beams.
